Inspire#13: A Sound State (Wendy Phua) | Artwork Background Credit: Wendy Phua

Wendy Phua, in a few of her own words… Though I’m a musician, I’ve always seen myself more as a creative whose craft happens to be music. Anything that touches on culture excites me, be it music, literature, art, cinema or even architecture. I’ve dabbled in all these disciplines at various points in my life,   Read More …

[ Refer to inspire#10: Redefining Excellence (Rachma Lim)] I first knew Rachma from the performance photos of other colleagues. I can still recall my immediate thoughts, what a good-looking spunky little girl. Now, if you have seen her pictures, you’d know i’m not just being shallow. It is true. Nor am I being rude, she   Read More …

[refer to inspire#9: Wrong Town (Mark Gordon) for my interview with Mark] I always have trouble starting on the ‘backgrounds’ of these wonderful people I have the honour of ‘interviewing’, but then once I start, I don’t want to stop. Each one of these inspiring features has a sort of ‘relationship’ with me so much   Read More …

[refer to main article “Inspire#6: Out of Paper Boxes (Melinda Tan)“] Inspire# isn’t anything less than a love-job (if it was a job at all). It was birthed out of seeing myself as a passageway, and i’ve used this phrase often with friends and colleagues: I see myself, and the projects I place my hands   Read More …

[for the background and my personal response to this article please see “Background to Inspire#6: Out of Paper Boxes (Melinda Tan)“] I have always had trouble forming cool, suave and hip introductions of myself on social. It’s a hard thing to do, being honest of how you see yourself and how others look at you,   Read More …

就这样子,我认识了studio3(studiothree)的成员,也不久后成为了朋友。 采用的原创歌曲: 「完美之旅」(「The Perfect Journey」) : Paper Boxes 《紀念品》(studiothree) 片尾曲 // Film Festivals & Screenings // 2012 8th InDPanda Short Film Festival (Hong Kong) 2013 18th Portobello Film Festival (London) 2013 Tropfest South East Asia Roughcut George Town Festival (Penang) 2013   Read More …
